About this project
Northern Coast Lighthouses exists to connect place, record, and memory in one readable historical reference.
We gather documented lighthouse histories so visitors can move easily between archival photographs, mapped tower locations, and keeper accounts without losing historical context.
Preservation framing. Each section highlights what remains, what changed, and what has been restored, so the coast's surviving towers are understood as living heritage rather than isolated monuments.
Archival interpretation. Images are presented with careful notes on date, source, and setting, helping readers distinguish between visual evidence, later retellings, and documented fact.
Coastal memory. Keeper voices, weather logs, and local recollections are placed alongside geography, showing how daily labor and shoreline conditions shaped maritime life across generations.
“A lighthouse record is never only about the tower; it is about the people who watched the sea, and the coast that watched back.”
